Privacy policy

Wander is a daily trivia game made by Hitting Up Studios (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when you play and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • If you play without an account: a random identifier stored in a cookie, so your progress through today's quiz survives a page reload. It isn't linked to who you are.
  • If you create an account: your email address, the name you choose (shown on leaderboards) and a password, which is stored hashed by our sign-in provider, Amazon Cognito.
  • If you sign in with Google or Facebook: your name, email address and (from Google) profile picture, as shared by that service. We never see or store your Google or Facebook password, and we don't post anything on your behalf.
  • Game data: your answers, scores and completion times for each daily quiz.

How we use it

  • To run the game: grading answers, saving your progress and showing daily leaderboards.
  • To show your name, picture and score on leaderboards that other players can see.
  • To send account emails such as confirmation and password reset codes.

We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers.

Security

Sign-in forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Data is stored with Amazon Web Services.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all of your game data at any time — see how to delete your data.
